Howden Park Centre, Livingston
Situated within mature parkland , Howden Park Arts Centre had previously evolved in piecemeal fashion from a converted coach house into a popular but functionally constrained arts & community hub. This major redevelopment and extension grew from extensive community consultation and transformed the building to offer a series of flexible multi-use studios, improved technical infrastructure, and a new main auditorium. A flowing gallery, foyer, bar and restaurant space threads the various studios, halls and levels together, wrapping around the timber clad auditorium and forming a new glazed connection to the landscape setting.
