Nicoll Russell Studios were briefed by a major national house builder to design a planned village to substantially extend the Aberdeenshire village of Alford. Some 200 new homes are grouped around a central public landscape complete with a burn, ponds, play facilities and SUDS proposals. Our proposals focus on delivering a layout which learns from the many villages planned by the large country estates in the surrounding area.
