Nicoll Russell Studios were commissioned by Aberdeenshire Council to develop an area highlighted in their “Imagine Ellon” Capacity Study for potential residential use. The concept masterplan promoted a mixed use development around a primary road network integrated with clear pedestrian routes and spaces. This approach sought to create special focal points within the overall development beyond those offered by its local nodes, primary school, and wider community facilities, to create a unique and memorable place.
