Phase 4 of Refurbishments

The latest phase of this ongoing series of projects includes many similar components to the LTIF projects we have already successfully completed. It is again being delivered over the course of the summer recess and has involved the careful resolution of may fire safety, asbestos, IT, AV and organisational issues. The Learning Teaching Infrastructure projects have generally raised the quality of teaching accommodation whilst rebranding that accommodation to reflect the current image of the University. This phase of projects incorporates the refurbishment of 8 thirty person seminar rooms, 2 lecture theatres providing space for almost 500 students, a foyer, concourse, informal study areas, an IT Suite and a Café. It is already well advanced on site with many of the fitments and equipment being procured in advance or manufactured off site by shopfitters. We were commissioned in Dec 2008 and the project was completed on time and on budget in September 2009.
