University of St Andrews
The complete strip out and refurbishment of the existing Buchanan Lecture Theatre and performance venue for University of St Andrews was a major part of our second phase of LTIF projects. It involved the full renewal of finishes and services, together with provision of new teaching facilities, including new AV provisions and lectern. New stage production facilities were incorporated including a new lighting gantry, stage lighting and sound mixing. New fixed seating was provided for 366 persons.
The construction period was from the end of May 2007 to end of September 2007. Working as a team with the contractor was integral to completing this and 7 other projects on time and on budget.
Alongside this project Nicoll Russell Studios were appointed to refurbish the Upper and Lower College Halls. The development involved refurbishing and modernising a key building for the University which houses reception, teaching and conference facilities. The project was taken from design stage to completion between December 2006 and March 2007 and this project was delivered on time and budget.
