Development of the new upper level of the former evangelical church to create an orthodontic practice.
Overall the aim was to create a relaxed environment for both staff and patients avoiding the clinical feel and appearance that is normally anticipated.
The general layout was informed by, and respected the existing structure of the church. The practice accommodates four orthodontic chairs in an open plan formation with a run of treatment fitments to the rear to allow the orthodontist to work efficiently between patients.
The client’s particular working requirements along with the equipment and services were fully considered to achieve a design with a restrained and ‘clutter-free’ appearance.
The Practice was the winner of the "Best Specialist Practice" prize at the 2011 Dentistry Scotland Awards.
