Baxters

Selkirk

Baxters Food Group approached us to create a new concept for a true leisure and life style destination which would appeal to a diverse customer base. The site, a well known former glass workshop within an industrial building, provided the perfect environment for this new experience.

We designed a neutral modular & flexible retail hall which enabled increased merchandise capacity whilst providing a stylish and contemporary space for a variety of Baxters' product offers. A restaurant was also created offering a suitable mood for breakfast, lunch and evening dining. Throughout we focused on themed graphics, a scottish flavoured palette of naturally vibrant colours, promoting Baxters' brand identity and retaining certain architectural characteristics of the original building. All elements of the new design were either physically or visually scaled proportionately in relation to the building framework, which is evident in the goalpost structures, varied ceiling treatments and choice of finishes.

Externally, we transformed the dull warehouse into a bold, eye catching structure by spray painting the existing cladding black at low level and silver at high level. New large scale illuminated signage, coloured logos and simple graphics add the appropriate identity and advertising to the external appearance.
